Synopsis

"The Serpent Rises" A power struggle rages just beneath the surface in Memphia, the capital city of Stygia. Mysterious murders continue, seemingly targeting the city’s royal families and those in succession to the throne. Kalanthes has been suspicious of Amon, but as of yet, has no proof of his actions. Meanwhile, Amon plots and uses the dark forces of Set the Serpent God, to influence those in power to further his own agenda. Eventually the king is assassinated, and next in line for the throne is Cstephon (a young acolyte Amon has been grooming all along to be his Puppet King). Eventually Kalanthes’ suspicions about Amon are confirmed, and he confers privately with the few remaining Priests of Ibis. They agree the sorcerer must be dealt with and approach his chambers in the night, intent on killing the mage. However, the newly proclaimed Thoth-Amon is ready and waiting and the forces of Set and Ibis clash once again!
